Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBlocky Text Rendering refers to text drawn with heavy, square-based glyphs and hard corners instead of smooth typographic curves. In buddy icons, this creates compact phrases that stand out against busy backgrounds and stay legible at tiny sizes.
