Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBlock Letters in buddy icons are bold, rectangular letterforms built for quick readability in very small artwork. Look for heavy, even-weight text blocks mixed with logos or portraits, where words hold the composition together with simple strong contrast.
