Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBand identifies the music-group-themed tag in buddy icon collections, covering performer-leaning visuals, logo-like motifs, and text cues tied to group identity. In this sample set, visuals are mixed with non-specific portraits, so the strongest evidence is the label intent and occasional captioned music references.
