Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksAsterisks is a motif-based buddy icon group where star-like marks are paired with short phrases and color accents. Pink, blue, and purple punctuation clusters and side-positioned asterisks make these images easy to identify in small canvases.
