Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksArrows buddy icons use arrow symbols as the structural motif, including standalone arrowheads, arrow buttons, and arrows linked to another symbol. Orientation, direction, and position shifts across frames usually identify the icon best at tiny sizes.
