Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksAnimated Text Sequence means multiple frames of changing text, with phrase swaps, color shifts, and lettering movement as the core visual action. In buddy icons, this often appears as a still base image with text that evolves frame by frame.
