Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksAlien buddy icons depict nonhuman extraterrestrial figures, usually in compact pixel form with sci-fi coloring. You can confirm the category by antennae, unusual facial patterns, oversized eyes, and dark or cosmic background fields around the character.
