Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksAbstract is a non-representational style made of shapes, repeated lines, and color blocks instead of clear literal subjects. In buddy icons this shows up as geometric patterns, swirls, hearts, and line clusters where arrangement matters more than recognizable objects.
